Security firm agrees Glasgow office space deal

[Published October 2010 and last updated June 2026] A deal has been done that will see the SecuriGroup establish an area of office space in central Glasgow as its new headquarters, it has been revealed.

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors helped broker the deal and explained that a range of office space options on the outskirts of Glasgow or entirely out of town were also considered before terms were agreed on a new business centre on Bath Street.

The Venlaw Building incorporates a variety of open-plan office space, described as ideal for SecuriGroup, which has outgrown its former operating base elsewhere in the same Scottish city.

“We’re delighted with our new HQ building, which more than satisfies all our requirements,” explained SecuriGroup’s managing director, Alan Morton.

The deal relates to 6,000 square foot of office space within the Venlaw Building on Bath Street, which is owned and being let by the property investment business Credential Holdings.

Marketing director for the company, Marilyn MacMillan, said: “We are delighted the letting of Venlaw is now complete with the arrival of SecuriGroup, who are an excellent fit for the building.”

Credential Holdings is based in the Venlaw Building and, having been founded in 1982, now boasts a commercial property portfolio comprising more than 750,000 square feet of developed office space in the UK.

Editor’s notes: In April 2023, SecuriGroup remained in occupation at The Venlaw Building at 349 Bath Street in the G2 postcode district of the Scottish city.

In the same month, the refurbished 1st-floor totalling 5,375 square feet was being marketed at £14 per square foot by commercial property agents Knight Frank.

As of June 2026, SecuriGroup’s glasgow office address was listed as Tay House, 300 Bath Street Glasgow G2 4JR.

The firm had signed a signed a new 10-year lease for 12,400 square feet of fully fitted out space on the fifth floor of the building in March 2025.

The total Glasgow office space take-up in 2025 was 433,781 square feet across 137 transactions, representing the highest annual total take-up on record for the Glasgow office market.
