Telecoms team moves to new Texas headquarters

[Published December 2010 and updated May 2023] A team of telecoms experts have moved to an area of office space in Frisco, North Texas, which is to become their new operating headquarters.

Genband specialises in internet protocol communications infrastructure and is looking to improve its business prospects with the addition of some 52,000 sq ft of office space in Texas, close to what has become known as the ‘Dallas Metroplex telecom corridor’.

Dozens of telecoms industry organisations are based in the suburbs surroundings Dallas and Genband is hoping its new office space presence in the rapidly-growing city of Frisco will be a boost for both its staff and its customers.

The company is to retain an operating facility in the nearby city of Plano and is planning to use its own telecoms technology to make its new office space into some of the most well-connected and most technologically advanced in Texas.

“Our new corporate headquarters continues our strategic commitment to the Dallas Metroplex telecom corridor, combining the best and brightest technology talent with an unbeatable cost and quality of living,” said Charlie Vogt, CEO of Genband.

“With proximity to our existing Plano Global Design Center and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, we are well positioned for the rapid growth Genband is experiencing,” she added.

In other American office space news, the Austin-based mobile application company Mutual Mobile recently revealed its plan to open a new area of office space in San Francisco as it looks to expand along the West Coast.

Editor’s notes: In 2017, Genband merged with Sonus Networks to become Ribbon Communications which is a public company listed on the NASDAQ index.

As of May 2023, Ribbon Communications is headquartered in Plano in Texas.
