The asset management company Brooks Macdonald has moved into a new area of office space in central Manchester after seeing its north-west workforce expand considerably in recent years.
An area of 3,000 sqft of offices are now being occupied by Brooks Macdonald’s staff on the tenth floor of the 1 Marsden Street building in the city centre. A total of 13 people are working from the Manchester site, almost double the number of employees the asset manager had in the city back in 2007.
“The Manchester office, led by Claire Bennison, has grown rapidly and we have been fortunate to retain the loyalty of our existing professional introducers as well as add new relationships,” said Brooks Macdonald’s joint managing director Andrew Sheperd.
“Manchester has been a very important business centre for us and we believe the new offices reinforce the brand experience that clients and our introducers expect. We look forward to a long and successful future in the centre of Manchester as we continue to grow the business,” added regional director Claire Bennison.
The company’s property management division Braemar Estates has a sizeable presence elsewhere in Greater Manchester, with 40 employees operating out of its offices in Hale, Place North West reports.
The publicly listed asset manager’s previous offices in city centre Manchester were at 55 King Street. Its Braemar Estates operation manages residential properties in the UK worth roughly £750 million, including the Beetham Tower, which is the tallest building in Manchester and the eighth tallest in Britain.
As well as in Manchester, Brooks Macdonald has offices in London, Edinburgh, Tunbridge Wells, Taunton and Hampshire. It was founded in 1991, listed on the AIM stock exchange in 2005 and headquartered on Park Street in London’s Mayfair.
