The sixth floor of the building has been completely refurbished and now has 86 workstations which are ready for business. Formerly the entire floor was occupied by the Home Office.
An array of amenities is available to users of the space, including high-speed Wi-Fi and meeting and conference rooms. The serviced office space is targeted and small-to-medium sized businesses, for which the flexibility provided by a serviced office space can be ideal.
Along with the two floors of serviced office space at The Plaza, there are a further 12 floors of regular office space to lease, all of which are occupied.
Sales Director Andrew Butterworth said: “Despite the fact that we added an additional floor last year, demand for our serviced offices has always been strong.
“It benefits from being in an excellent location with some fantastic views. We are confident that this new space will let quickly and we will continue to deliver high-quality space with a strong customer focus.”
Currently, Bruntwood has 2,000 desks across 12 buildings in its serviced office portfolio. The company has offices in Liverpool, Manchester, Knutsford, Cheadle, Warrington, Altrincham, Leeds and Birmingham.
There have been claims in the past that the Liverpool commercial real estate market is too dependent on the public sector, however, the city has always refuted such claims.
Recently Prime Minister David Cameron appointed Lord Heseltine and Sir Terry Leahy to conduct a thorough review of the Liverpool economy.
The two will go on a three-week fact-finding mission to the city and report back to the Prime Minister. The two will be sizing up the opportunities for investors that lie in the city.
Editor’s notes: Bruntwood commenced a £3.7 million renovation of the 18-storey building in December 2020 and completed it in 2022.
As of June 2023, 10,966 square feet of office space was available to rent at The Plaza with suite sizes starting at 1,489 square feet. The asking rent was £23.50 per square foot per annum.
As of June 2023, tenants that rented or let office space at The Plaza in Liverpool included law firm Weightmans LLP, accountants Langtons, and property recruitment agency Kingsley, to name just a few.
At the time, Bruntwood owned 100 properties across the UK offering office space, coworking space, lab space, meeting rooms and virtual offices.
