Communications company opens four new offices

AVI-SPL, a business claiming to be the world’s foremost video communications partnering company, has taken over a trio of new offices in Canada and opened another in London, it has been announced.

The American firm delivers a range of services based around integrating video links into business communication systems and it has big plans for growth around the world.

The acquisition of certain assets from the Canadian IT company Duocomm in recent days means AVI-SPL now has offices in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. On the other side of the Atlantic meanwhile the company has launched its new office in London, which has been established as a European operating headquarters.

“The UK office will operate independently but will benefit from access to AVI-SPL’s global resources,” explained James Shanks, who is to lead developments for the company at its new London offices. “With AVI-SPL’s financial stability, strong vendor relationships, and rich capabilities in managed services, we’re confident about the future of our business in Europe,” he said.

Zoreena Abas has been appointed to head up the company’s east Canada offices and operations. He said in a statement: “AVI-SPL’s excellent reputation and breadth of services and expertise will allow us to reach our goal of becoming number one in Canada.”

In all, AVI-SPL now has almost 40 offices around the world, including in various parts of the US, Central America and in the Middle East.

“Today’s companies operate around the world so we’re growing our footprint to keep pace with their needs wherever they are,” explains the company’s chief executive John Zettel.
