A digital media company based in San Diego, California, has revealed its plans regarding several areas of new office space in Sydney, Australia and in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The two cities have been singled out as those that White Digital Media is most keen to move in to and start operating from over the course of 2011, with office space already ear-marked to that end.
It is hoped that office space in the largest cities in Australia and South Africa respectively will help the distributor of various high-level business-focussed publications develop a stronger presence in the two countries central to its expansion plans.
A total of 25 employees are to set-up in the company’s offices in Sydney from the early months of next year, while a further 20 will soon start working out of their new Johannesburg offices.
“As we continue to build our brands, it’s imperative we establish ourselves within the markets we are targeting,” said Glen White, chief executive and founder White Digital Media.
“By creating offices in Sydney and Jo-burg, we can cater better to our customers and gain a better understanding of our readers’ interests,” he added.
The company’s publications are generally aimed at what it calls ‘C-level’ executives, or those high-up in the ranks of sizeable corporations around the world.
As well as its head-quarters in San Diego, White Digital Media has offices in Boston, Toronto and Norwich, England, plus a newly-established base for its Indian operations in Mumbai.
Cushman and Wakefield said this year that it expects to see more high-quality office space built and made available for rent in Mumbai over the next few years than in any other part of the sub-continent.
