A recently built office development in Dublin has reached capacity with a tenancy commitment from the Belgian software company BSB.
The business is keen to expand in the city and has secured the support of the Irish Industrial Development Agency (IDA) as it looks to almost double its local workforce to 120 employees.
The Royal Dublin Society (RDS) is the group behind the Minerva House development that has seen roughly 8,500 sqft of office space established over the course of the past three years.
BSB will be the final company to move into the site at Simmonscourt in Ballsbridge, with rents agreed in the mid-€20s per sq ft.
Standing five stories high, the Dublin office space is among the most sustainable developments in the city, the Irish Times reports.
The RDS gained planning permission to build a further two office blocks at nearby locations but the ten-year allowance expires in 2014.
With full tenancy secured at Minerva House, the Dublin society’s chief executive Michael Duffy said: “We will now be turning our attention to the planning permission and evaluating the different options.”
BSB is expected to move its existing workforce into the office building in December and join Websense Ltd and ION Trading Ltd.
The Irish IDA aims to support inward investment in Dublin and other parts of the Irish republic and it recently welcomed a commitment from the global outsourcing company Arvato to drive growth and deliver an extra 150 jobs in the country.
