The Salford-based firm is looking to take its office space capacity to around 24,000 square feet and build on an annual turnover figure of around £125 million for the most recent financial year.
Eco-friendly biogas generators, as well as combined heat and power units, are among Ener-G’s top-selling sustainability products, and demand is said to be soaring across a variety of sectors and in all different parts of the world.
Ener-G’s managing director, Derek Duffill, said recently, “Our innovative products and services are in demand across the globe – fuelling powerful growth which is reflected in a rapid rise in turnover and the need to expand our main site in Salford.”
The company is now set to move dozens of staff members from rented office space in leasehold office premises in Greater Manchester into a £2 million development that is currently under construction.
A total of 760 people are employed by Ener-G worldwide, and the new Manchester office space is set to become its global headquarters.
Earlier this week, the travel accommodation business LateRooms.com revealed its intention to move its employees into a new area of Manchester office space after having outgrown its previous operating base in the city.
