Hillingdon set for office space expansion

[First published in July 2010 and last updated May 2026] An area of development in the London borough of Hillingdon is set for a considerable expansion of its office space facilities, according to reports.

The Stockley Park site is towards the western edge of Greater London and is expected to see around 270,000 square feet of extra office space made available for rent or leasehold deals over the coming months.

Real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle has told PropertyWeek.com that the level of corporate activity in the area has marked the location out as ideal for the planned office space construction.

As well as a range of new office spaces, the Stockley Park project is also set to see a new hotel complex established over the course of the next few years after the third stage of its development was given the go-ahead by local authorities.

Director of the project, John Harcourt, told PropertyWeek.com: “This is an exciting milestone in the park’s development.

“We will now be advancing discussions with occupiers to whom we can offer a combination of extensive adjacent amenities, a hotel and good rail access to central London.”

Last week, Stephen Down from the office space consultancy firm Gresham Down Capital Partners urged businesses looking for office space to rent in London to “work with advisers who have a strong reputation for performance”.

Editor’s notes: In 2023, there were over 20 high-profile occupiers in Stockley Park, including Apple, Canon, Gilead Sciences, MSC Cruises, Sharp, and flexible office space providers Orega and Regus.

In 2018, global talent management, events, media and fashion firm IMG Studios agreed to a new nine-year lease on 25,128 square feet at 4 Longwalk Road on Stockley Park.

The following year, IMG Studios became the location of the video assistant referee (VAR) hub for English domestic football. Because of this, ‘Stockley Park’ is sometimes used as a metonym for the VAR officials or the decisions made during matches.

The 88-acre business park was designed to combine business bustle with country calm in its open-air lakeside setting.

The office park boasts 140,000 trees, jogging and cycle paths, picnic tables and pop-up street food vendors.

Over 100 events are held at Stockley Park, from fun runs to tree-planting events. The park sits adjacent to a golf course, coffee shops and restaurants, a health club with a swimming pool, and a gym with fitness classes. There is also a nursery, a dog-sitting service and a ‘borrow-bikes’ service adjacent.

Stockley Park is located just 6 minutes from the M4 and the M25 motorways, there are two Elizabeth Line stations close by, and Heathrow Airport is just 15 minutes away.

In May 2026, Stockley Park stated it was proud to celebrate 40 years of not just business development but also its vibrant community, rich biodiversity, and strong connections within it.
