The housing association will join a number of other locally-based businesses at the north Liverpool site, which is now roughly three-quarters full and has only 6,000 square feet of office space remaining available for rent.
A variety of creative industry organisations have also recently agreed deals to take up office space at City Point, and the letting agents are pleased with the progress being made towards having all 16 office suites occupied.
Liverpool Mutual Homes’ senior investment manager, Clifford Stanley, told the Daily Post that his staff are happy with the new office space, describing their initial feedback on the deal as “excellent”.
“They really like the location, in particular the parking facilities, and they have commented that there is lots of light and space in the offices,” he is quoted as saying.
City Point is owned by Oscar Developments and comprises nearly 25,000 square feet of office space.
Earlier this month, plans were submitted for the proposed Liverpool Waters initiative, which could see thousands of square feet of new office space created and billions of pounds in investment brought to Merseyside over the next several years.
Editor’s notes: Caro Developments took possession of the 30,000-square-foot City Point on Great Homer Street, which was vacant at the time, and transformed it into student housing. The amenity-rich building, with a mini-gym, laundry, and vending facilities, was delivered in 2015.
In Q2 2026, prime office rents in Liverpool city centre stood at £29.50 per square foot per annum.
As with other office markets in the UK and globally, there is a growing flexible office space and workspace sector in Liverpool that offers agile alternatives to leased office space. Flexible business space options include private serviced offices, fitted, furnished and managed offices and coworking options.
These are held on short-term contracts with options to increase or decrease the footprint mid-term, and offer all-inclusive pricing, so overheads such as utilities, cleaning, and reception services are covered by the monthly licence fee.
