The knowledge management company Kaplan EduNeering has established a new Asian operating base via an area of office space in Hong Kong.
Sales and support teams from the New Jersey-based business are to begin working out its new offices in Hong Kong, which are expected to provide a solid platform for the firm’s ongoing expansion plans.
Hong Kong offices are seen as a solid starting point for Kaplan EduNeering to grow its client base within the compliance and knowledge management industry in Asian markets, particularly in China, where major opportunities for growth have been identified.
“The new office in Asia reinforces our commitment to clients in many industries throughout the region,” said Ryan Carpentier, Kaplan EduNeering’s newly-appointed managing director for its Asian operations.
“For example, there has been a heightened global regulatory enforcement for our life-sciences clients. This new office will help support the efforts of China’s regulatory organisations.”
As well as in the US and now in Hong Kong, Kaplan also has an office base the UK, having recently boosted its European operation with the opening of a new headquarters in Reading, just outside central London.
In a similar move, the American-based legal advisory business Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati opened a new Asian operating base last month in an area of rented Hong Kong office space. Explaining the reasons behind the move, the law firm’s chief executive Steve Bochner described China as “an incredibly vibrant market”.
