An area of London office space is set for an artistic makeover in the coming months with the help of students from the Chelsea College of Art & Design.
Hitachi Consulting, which already rents office space in London and around the world, is keen to ensure that its newest meeting rooms and managed offices are as vibrant as they can possibly be.
A number of proposals have been submitted and the work should be done before Hitachi’s staff move into their new office location.
After an initial year of occupation, the company’s workforce will be given the chance to buy any artwork they take a particular liking to at their newly-redecorated London office space.
“We’ve been supporting the programme with Chelsea College of Art for the past four years as part of our heritage for innovation,” explained Mark Robinson, managing vice president for Hitachi Consulting UK.
“It’s also a great way of breaking down any stereotypes the students may have about big businesses and we may have about art students,” he added.
Jeffrey Dennis from Chelsea College insisted that his students will relish the challenge of creating art that fits perfectly with the requirements of Hitachi as they settle into their prime office space in London.
