The group is involved in a number of high-profile mixed-use projects in the north-west of England and good progress is apparently being made on its Riverside Business Park, which is being built in collaboration with Barnfield Construction and is located close to the Yorkshire Dales.
One of the largest projects of its kind in the region, the business park can already offer 35,000 sq ft of northwest office space with units available on a scale from 4,000 to 1,500 sq ft.
Peel describes the new offices at Vantage Point as having been “superbly designed” and notes that there is good access to local motorway links so cities like Manchester, Leeds and London are not quite as far away as they might seem.
“It is fantastic to see Vantage Court finished. The six buildings have been built using high-quality materials in order to complement the local architecture,” said Peel’s development manager Matt Fitton.
“We are thrilled about the investment opportunities and jobs the park will bring to the local economy,” added Tim Webber, chairman and managing director at Barnfield Construction.
The Peel Group’s current development projects include Peel Waters, which is aiming to have £10 billion invested into the Liverpool and Birkenhead Docks area over the next decade or so.
Meanwhile, the same company is working on turning the Salford Quays area of Greater Manchester into one of the most dynamic media hubs in Europe under the banner of MediaCityUK.
Editor’s notes: In 2022, it was announced that the office scheme delivered by Peel and Barnfield Construction was fully let and that the latter company had submitted plans for a second phase at the site that would deliver workshop and warehouse units to the site.
