Flix Facilities has signed up to occupy offices at the Greenhouse development, which is among the leading office buildings to form part of the MediaCityUK initiative. This initiative has largely transformed the local area.
The company’s primary office base is close to city centre Manchester, but it is hoped that its Salford offices will help it build on existing links with the likes of ITV and the BBC, both of which recently moved into premises at MediaCityUK itself.
“We have excellent working relationships with the BBC and ITV, as well as with a wide variety of independents, so opening offices at MediaCityUK made natural sense,” said Leo Casserly, co-founder and managing director of the company.
“We look forward to integrating ourselves into The Greenhouse and working with the businesses located at MediaCityUK,” he added.
Flix has been operating out of offices in the northwest of England for the past twenty years, establishing a reputation as a reliable provider of various 3D, CGI, audio-dubbing, and video editing services.
“We hope that Flix will benefit from being part of not only The Greenhouse community but the wider MediaCityUK environment,” said Stephen Wild, managing director of MediaCityUK.
Earlier this year, ITV Commercial announced plans to reshape its business in the UK and expand the brief of its staff based in Greater Manchester. The broadcaster’s commercial arm added several new high-level employees to the ranks of its primary offices in the northwest of England.
Editor’s notes: As of July 2024, The Greenhouse no longer offered office space at Salford Quays.
At the same time, Flix Facilities had been rebranded as Flix Animation and listed 114 – 116 Broadway at Manchester Media City as its headquarters on its website.
