The property investment firm Paladin Capital has opened an office in Greater Manchester with a view to taking advantage of potential business expansion opportunities in the north-west of England, according to reports.
Simon Bernard has been named as the firm’s new business development partner and handed the responsibility of driving its growth across the region and other parts of the north of England.
Its new office at the Trident One building on Styal Road close to Manchester Airport is only Paladin’s second official office base, the other being its headquarters in Horsham, West Sussex.
Much of the company’s business involves raising funds and investing in property development projects that need money to get off the drawing board and there is reckoned to be considerable scope for progress in this context in the north-west over the next few years.
“We offer funding arrangements for developers to progress their planning applications and infrastructure works while easing the pressure from third-party lenders,” Mr Bernard commented.
“Paladin Capital is already involved in the south and Midlands and now we want to offer the same customised service with a personal touch in the north.”
The company’s fund raising efforts are focussed primarily on corporate clients and high net worth individuals who look to secure worthwhile returns on their investments once the projects they finance reach completion.
British chancellor George Osborne visited sites close to Manchester Airport this month as extensive plans designed to turn the area into a major business and industrial hub for the UK were unveiled by developers. Manchester Airports Group is hoping the addition of 1.5 million square feet of office space will help turn the district into one of the most thriving business locations in the UK.
