Property investor opens Manchester office

[Published February 2012 and updated July 2024] According to reports, The property investment firm Paladin Capital has opened an office in South Manchester, intending to take advantage of potential business expansion opportunities in northwest England.

Simon Bernard has been named the firm’s new business development partner and is responsible for driving its growth across the region and other parts of the north of England.

Paladin’s new office at the Trident One building on Styal Road, close to Manchester Airport, is only its second official office base, the other being its headquarters in Horsham, West Sussex.

Much of the company’s business involves raising funds and investing in property development projects that need money to get off the drawing board. There is reckoned to be considerable scope for progress in this context in the north-west over the next few years.

“We offer funding arrangements for developers to progress their planning applications and infrastructure works while easing the pressure from third-party lenders,” Mr Bernard commented.

“Paladin Capital is already involved in the south and Midlands, and now we want to offer the same customised service with a personal touch in the north.”

The company’s fundraising efforts are focused primarily on corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals looking to secure worthwhile returns on their investments once the projects they finance are completed.

British Chancellor George Osborne visited sites close to Manchester Airport this month as developers unveiled extensive plans to turn the area into a major business and industrial hub for the UK. Manchester Airports Group hopes the addition of 1.5 million square feet of office space will help turn the district into one of the most thriving business locations in the UK.

Editor’s notes: As of July 2024, Paladin Capital was no longer listed as a tenant at Trident Business Park.
