Manchester Airport Group (MAG) Developments, which owns and runs the relevant properties, has added five new tenants to its list of office space occupiers in recent days.

The largest deal agreed has seen the travel retailer World Duty Free take up 1,520 sqft of space at the 4M office building, while the transport security business ICTS (UK) has signed up to occupy 929 sqft of offices at the same building.

4M has a total of roughly 83,000 sqft of Grade A Manchester offices, and it was awarded an ‘excellent’ rating for sustainability credentials by BREEAM adjudicators back in 2002.

Meanwhile, at MAG Developments’ World Freight Terminal Estate, offices at 308 Avro Way have welcomed three new occupants in the shape of Panasonic Avionics Corp, the Maurice Ward Group, which works in logistics, and the newly-established freight company HSR International.

The Avro Way site is designed to offer high-quality affordable office space to start-up companies and small to medium-sized businesses operating from Greater Manchester and in the northwest of England.

“Enquiry levels continue to remain steady, and as demonstrated by this latest round of lettings, we are converting a number of enquiries into transactions by providing bespoke deals and flexible terms,” said Stephanie Mullenger, MAG Developments’ business development director.

“The airport sector of the South Manchester market has and continues to be, one of the most active in the region, and we feel that this resilience, buoyed by the offering of the airport, bodes well for 2012,” she went on.

MAG Developments is responsible for managing offices and other commercial space around each of its parent company’s four airports, namely those in Manchester, Bournemouth, Humberside, and the East Midlands.
