Discussions on a deal to establish 127,000 square feet of new office space in the city of Lincoln are well underway, and construction is expected to begin within the next 12 months.
The news has been revealed by St Modwen Properties, which describes itself as being the leading regeneration company in the UK and is keen to see its development plans get the go-ahead as soon as possible.
Both office space and workshop facilities on the Teal Park site, just outside the centre of Lincoln, will be built with scope for further expansion, and Siemens is now expecting to consolidate its local workforce at the earmarked location.
Stephen Prosser, St Modwen’s relevant regional director, commented: “We have spent a considerable amount of time working with Siemens to understand their expectations with regard to their new facility, and we now look forward to continuing this relationship and working closely with them.”
Siemens’ plans have reportedly been prompted by unprecedented client orders in recent months across its services business and other aspects of its operations in the north of England.
Last week, St Modwen agreed to a five-year office rental deal with the security company ADT for 4,500 square feet of office space at the Prescott Business Park in Merseyside.
Editor’s notes: In April 2023, Teal Park was described as Lincolnshire’s premier employment park offering a range of industrial, retail and office spaces for rent.
The park was home to Siemens’ gas turbine servicing business, Jaguar Land Rover, Costa, KFC and over 20 other companies.
In addition to leased offices from traditional landlords, several flexible office providers in Lincoln offered a diverse range of workspace solutions, including private serviced offices, managed offices, and coworking membership plans.
Research conducted in June 2026 found that the state-of-the-art gas turbine service centre at Teal Park, which Siemens opened, was rated BREEAM ‘Excellent’ when it opened in April 2013. At the time, it was one of only a few buildings to achieve this accreditation in the UK.
Siemens has a long history of being a first mover in constructing highly acclaimed, environmentally friendly buildings. The Crystal, which it completed in East London in 2012, was the first-ever building to receive both BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and LEED ‘Platinum’ certifications.
