SMART develops touch-control technology for particular computer software and is best known for its ‘whiteboard’ solutions that are now used in schools and other educational facilities around the world.
As well as several thousand square feet of office space in Paris, the company has opened a new showroom in the city to promote its latest and upcoming products.
A total of 40 staff members are set to start working from the site in the Suresnes area of the French capital, where they will be looking to develop SMART’s business growth in key European markets and in countries across the Middle East and Africa.
“Opening this new office and showroom is a major step in our development and a testament to our expectation for continued growth in France,” said Patrick Lelorieux, vice president and general manager of SMART Technologies in the region.
“The office will showcase our products and our expertise to help our education and business customers understand our solutions in a more personalized way.”
Headquartered in the Canadian city of Calgary, SMART also boasts a sizable office space presence in Germany, France, Japan, Singapore and China, as well as in cities closer to home including New York, Chicago and Washington DC.
The company’s head offices in Calgary recently received LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold standard certification based on their sustainability credentials.

As of July 2023, Smart was headquartered at 3636 Research Road NW in Calgary. The company’s Paris office was located on Avenue de la Grande Armee.
The company also had an office presence in Seattle, London, Cologne, Brookvale NSW in Australia, Shanghai, Singapore and Dubai.
