Among the companies which have decided to expand within the office space development are the online games agency Spiral House and Crosby Systems, which specialises in e-blueprints.
Spiral House is reportedly expanding its office space from 782 square feet to 1,021 square feet.
Spiral managing director Kevin Oxland said: “The business is going from strength to strength, making it the ideal time to move into larger offices.
“The Park was so supportive of our plans and our new office was arranged within a day of our enquiry.”
Crosby Systems in turn expanded its office space up to 239 square feet.
Managing director Nick Taylor said: “We’ve come a long way since starting the company and we’ve grown, in part, from the business we have generated from collaborating with other companies based at LIP.
“This expansion marks another exciting chapter in the business, and with a strong pipeline of work underway we have high hopes for rapid growth over the next 18 months.”
Both companies have office space in LIP’s Baird House, which is located in the former Marconi headquarters in Edge Lane Campus.
Mark Tock, Innovation Manager at LIP, told the Liverpool Daily Post that LIP is so flexible that SMEs can expand within 24 hours if they wish.
He told the paper: “It is great to see SMEs within the LIP community flourishing and a noticeable increase in overall collaboration among businesses on site.
“As commercial landlords, we always try to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of ambitious, growing businesses and many are surprised to learn just how easy it is to relocate to or within LIP.”
LIP boasts over 500,000 square feet of buildings and is currently home to over 80 businesses.
Primarily LIP targets technology, creative, precision engineering and clean tech companies.
Editor’s notes: As of July 2023, there was a range of office suites available to rent at Bairdhouse Business Centre at Liverpool Innovation Park ranging in size from under 1,000 square feet to over 10,000 square feet.
The park offers a cafe, kitchen and break-out areas and also has a gym on the ground floor.
As of July 2023, Spiral House was still located at LIP, however, Crosby Systems dissolved in July 2018.
