Dubai office space attracts L&T Infotech

[Published October 2010 and last updated June 2026] An area of office space in Dubai has attracted a well-established IT services and solutions company to set down more permanent roots in the Middle East, it has emerged.

The Dubai Outsource Zone (DOZ) is designed to accommodate the needs of large international organisations, and L&T Infotech is convinced that office space in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will help improve its global operations.

High-quality telecoms services were understandably a must for the technology-based business, which already has several small-scale offices in the Middle East but is now set to establish a major operating base in the region.

According to ITP.net, the company will look to “tap into the availability of local talent” and recruit dozens of new employees from universities across the UAE over the coming months and years.

Sundip Banerjee, L&T Infotech’s chief executive, told the news provider: “The DOZ is a very natural location for us because of the progressive policies of the local government here, which encourages foreign companies to come and set up business operations.

“In addition, there is excellent infrastructure here, including telecoms infrastructure, which is a basic requirement for us, and finally, we also get access to local talent when we set up an operation here.”

Dubai has this week been hosting the ‘Gitex’ technology exhibition, which brings together hundreds of technology companies and tens of thousands of interested visitors to what is billed as the third-largest annual ICT event in the world.

Editor’s notes: In 2013, L&T Infotech’s engineering services arm was acquired by Larsen & Toubro’s technology and engineering services subsidiary, L&T Technology Services.

In July 2016, L&T Infotech became a public limited company via an IPO and was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India.

In 2017, the company rebranded as ‘LTI’ and, in 2023, employed approximately 85,000 people.

In 2023, the company listed Al Masood Tower 2 on Al Makhtoum Road in Deira as its Dubai office address on its website.

Also known as Dubai Outsource City (DOC), the Dubai Free Zone, developed for call centres and data centre companies, counted high-profile organisations including Accenture and AXA as tenants in 2023.

In May 2026, the Financial Times reported that L&T Technology Services unveiled in Munich Europe’s first engineering intelligence (EI) centre.

In the article, L&T Technology Services was described as a global leader in AI, Digital & ER&D Consulting Services.
