Law firm takes space at Nashville office tower

[Published February 2011 and updated May 2023] A locally-based law firm has opted to occupy the entire 14th floor of a newly-built office space tower called the Pinnacle at Symphony Place in the city of Nashville, Tennessee.

The deal to see Gullett Sanford Robinson & Martin installed at the site brings the office tower’s overall occupancy rate up to 60 per cent, which is being seen as positive news for the entire South of Broadway (SoBro) region of the city.

Bosses at the company explain that they were keen to find a suitable new home for their operation in Nashville, with the strong environmental credentials of Pinnacle at Symphony Place having helped to make up their minds on the subject.

The building is the first office space tower in Nashville to have been given Silver certification from LEED, the sustainability system backed by the US Green Building Council.

“Our attorneys were attracted by the easy driving and walking access to the location and being in the heart of the growing SoBro district, with all of the amenities that location offers,” Scott Derrick, managing partner at Gullet Sanford told the Tennessean.

The company is to leave behind its former Nashville operating base at the Region’s Center, where the same number of employees were occupying 15 per cent more office space than they are set to need at the Pinnacle.

The 14th of 29 floors is now being readied for Gullett Sanford Robinson & Martin, which is to pay just over $30 per sq ft for the pillar-free area of office space that is reportedly the most expensive to be found anywhere in the city.

London’s West End currently offers the world’s most expensive office space to rent in the world, according to the latest figures on the subject compiled by CBRE

Editor’s notes: As of May 2023, GSRM Law remains in occupation at  The Pinnacle at Symphony Place at Third Avenue South in Nashville.

In April 2023, the firm welcomed 3 new attorneys from Goodman Callahan Blackstone LLP taking its roster to 36 attorneys.
