Integral Molecular has close ties to local education institutions and is now looking to grow its operation, having been based at the University City Science Center since its founding nine years ago.
A total of 10,000 square feet of “state-of-the-art” laboratory and office space in Philadelphia is now set to be occupied by the company, which amounts to twice the amount of space it had previously been operating out of.
Dozens of biotech industry jobs have been secured as a result of Integral Molecular’s intention, and bosses at the purpose-built science centre are delighted with the news.
“We couldn’t have started without them, and we’re pleased to be able to continue our relationship with [the science center] as we expand into 3711 Market Street,” said Benjamin Doranz, Integral Molecular’s co-founder and chief executive.
“Our expansion represents an exciting time for Integral Molecular that will allow us to keep up with customer demand for our products and services while continuing to develop additional products focused on cellular and viral membrane proteins.”
Elsewhere on the east coast of America, a syndicate of wealthy investors, represented by HSBC, recently acquired a 49 per cent holding in a 900,000 square foot office space building in Times Square, New York.
Editor’s notes: In April 2023, Integral Molecular announced that it had moved into a brand-new 32,000-square-foot facility at One uCity Square, 25 N. 38th St.
The new headquarters and integrated research facilities would include its pandemic preparedness laboratories and make it the first tenant to move into One uCity Square, a 13-story, 400,000-square-foot commercial research facility.
One uCity Square was described as a 13-storey building offering 389,000 square feet of office, laboratory, and retail space in University City, West Philadelphia, and formed part of the greater 10.5 million-square-foot mixed-use uCity Square development.
Integral Molecular has experienced extraordinary growth since 2020, becoming integral to Pennsylvania’s response to the pandemic.

As of June 2026, Integral Molecular was still based at One uCity Square.
In October 2025, it had been reported that the company’s Membrane Proteome Array™ (MPA), used to assess antibody specificity, was entering its final stage of FDA review to become a Drug Development Tool (DDT).
