An IT consultancy firm called Fino has switched its headquarters in New York City as it aims to create room for growth and expansion over the next few years and beyond.
Fino was founded in 2006 and specialises in designing IT applications for businesses operating in a broad range of industry sectors. It has recently relocated its New York operation and set up its staff at 7,000 sq ft of newly refurbished office space in Manhattan.
The offices now Fino’s official headquarters are at 20 West 37th Street just off Fifth Avenue, one of the most iconic streets in America. The space has been designed along modern, open-plan lines to create what is expected to be a very collaboration-friendly office environment.
Fino’s previous headquarters covered only 4,000 sq ft of office space and a 40 percent increase in employee headcount in 2012 alone ensured that the company needed new and much larger offices to work from.
“We had outgrown our space for some time and our new office provides a wonderfully fun work environment for our extraordinary team plus a welcoming space for our clients to visit and work,” said Brian Fino, the company’s managing director and founder.
“The new layout, including many of our own design elements, allows for greater team collaboration and continued delivery of excellent solutions and products to our clients.”
A recent report from real estate advisers Cushman & Wakefield described office space rental markets in Manhattan as having had a “solid” year overall in 2012. The company’s figures suggest that there was a total of 6.4 million sq ft of Grade A offices newly leased throughout Manhattan during the final quarter of the year.
