Its larger serviced offices have the capacity for 6 desks and the suite can be customised to clients’ bespoke taste.

Medium-sized offices are also available to rent and these will fit 3 desks.

The BEC also offers Office Timeshare arrangements which allows a business to take a part-time office and share the costs with other businesses.

The BEC also offers small offices to rent in Barking that will accommodate between 1 and 2 desks.

Who are Barking Enterprise Centre?

Founded in 2011, Barking Enterprise Centre (BEC) is proud to state that it is ‘more than just a workspace provider’ and offers mentoring and support services alongside its range of flexible office space and workspace solutions.

It was originally known as the East London Business Partnership and it worked with local people who wanted to start their own businesses.

In 2016, Barking Enterprise Centre became a Community Interest Company (CIC) and continued to work closely with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and Elevate East London.

Since BEC was established with has supported over 6,000 businesses and helped launch over 450 startup businesses.

Barking Enterprise Centre (BEC) is proud to be more than just a workspace provider and, as well as providing, a wide range of office space solutions to entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses, provides a range of mentoring and support services.

Since it launched in 2011, it has provided over 2,500 mentoring hours and has supported over 6,000 businesses and over 450 startups.

Its mentoring programmes include the BEC Digital Upskill Programme and Enterprise Workshops as well as others, and it also runs events throughout the year such as ‘How To Start A Business For Beginners’. It also hosts a podcast that covers all aspects of starting up, running and scaling a successful business.

The BEC Collective was launched in 2018 and its service named ‘Workspace of the Future’ specifically supports creative businesses.

The BEC was proud to become a London Living Wage accredited employer in 2020 and has been nominated and received awards at the Barking and Dagenham Business Awards and the Thames Gateway Business Awards, to name just two.
