Accelerator London is London Metropolitan University’s specialist business incubator located in East London.

Established in 2003, it has been helping a community of tech start-up companies grow, enabling early-stage entrepreneurs to turn ideas into viable ventures.

Through the use of fantastic spaces for founders, an enviable location, a handpicked network of experts and investors, and an active on- and off-campus events programme, Accelerator London has helped an eclectic range of start-up companies thrive and flourish.

Helping start-ups looking for a new office in Shoreditch in Hackney as well as students simply seeking advice and support to kickstart a business idea, the incubator has been a pivotal part of London Tech City’s start-up ecosystem for over 15 years.

And London Metropolitan University, by whom the London business incubator office space is run, has been named as one of the UK’s best universities for future business leaders

The study, conducted by Hitachi Capital Invoice Finance, placed the institution sixth in the UK for budding CEOs and Managing Directors.

The study analysed data from over 8 million alumni who had left 121 UK universities since the year 2000 and had gone on to become either CEOs or Managing Directors, or to found their own businesses.

It found that the university, with just over 1 in 10 (11.49%) alumni going on to become CEOs or MDs, was the 6th best university in the country for aspiring business leaders.
