Facts about Battersea Arts Centre Scratch Hub

Why choose BAC’s Scratch Hub Coworking Space?

Many choose to rent desk space at The Battersea Arts Centre as they are attracted by the architecture and the heritage of the striking establishment that opened in 1893 and became Grade II* listed in 1970 due to its significance.

As a home for radical artists, it continues to win awards and, in 2022, it was named Theatre of the Year by The Stage UK, and attracts support from Arts Council England, the National Lottery and the London Borough of Wandsworth.

The venue has hosted bands such as The XX, Fleetwood Mac and The Jam in the past and continues to run a full itinerary of dance shows, unique events such as the Proms at Battersea and The Trauma Show, and ongoing learning experiences such as The Beatbox Academy. So individuals and teams love to rent a desk in a space with so much energy and vibrancy.

That being said, the shared workspace at The Battersea Arts Centre is peaceful, calm and quiet and filled with biophilia to create a tranquil oasis for deep work.

And as Scratch Hub has been recognised by the National Tourist Associations of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as operating within the COVID-19 Industry Standard and following government and industry guidelines to ensure processes are in place to maintain high levels of cleanliness and social distancing practices, members are assured that they are working in a safe space.

Scratch Hub is easy to access, too – positioned on the corner of the A3036 and Theatre Street, there are several buses that stop close by, it is just 8 minutes from Clapham Junction underground and rail station, and there are bike racks and showers should you wish to travel under your own steam.
