Custom Lane provides office space and workspace solutions at Customs Wharf in Leith in the EH6 6AL Edinburgh postcode district.
Offering a choice of private Enclosed Studio Bays and Open Studio Bays that are available in shell condition allowing them to be furnished by the occupier.
These range in size from approximately 85 sqft to approximately 140 sqft.
Custom Lane also offers a range of coworking options in shared workspaces.
Standard Desks can be rented as can the Premium Desks. Storage is available and members enjoy full access to the kitchen and printing facilities.
The premium desks are the large lockable option.
Custom Lane is super flexible and both forms of the desk can be rented on a month-to-month rolling contract or on a hot desk/drop-in basis.
If a contract is signed, however, it does guarantee that the desk is always designated to the member.
Custom Lane also offers event space for hire that is well suited to exhibitions.

Custom Lane was conceived by architects and designers, GRAS. Based in Leith, it is a collaborative platform, created to support and celebrate world-class emerging design in Scotland.
Part of the 19th Century Custom House overlooking the Water of Leith, Custom Lane has been created to be Scotland’s most engaging, enriching and enjoyable work environment for designers and design-led makers.
GRAS worked with the Scottish Historic Buildings Trust and the City of Edinburgh Council, to transform the previously unused building into a vibrant creative hub.
Featuring exhibition space, a café that roasts seasonally sourced beans on-site, workshops, event space, freelance hair cutters and barbers, and a yoga studio, Custom Lane also provides private studios for rent and a range of co-working desk space rental membership options.

A group of partners have worked with the management team from the start and have helped to create a supportive creative community that thrives.
The partners are either full-time or part-time residents or host classes and events in the space and include a fashion and retail brand, a cross-disciplinary design studio, Edinburgh Tool Library which is the UK’s first tool-sharing library that was conceived to reduce environmental impact, coffee roasters and a yoga studio.
These partners help to nourish the creative ecosystem and also provide great networking opportunities.
When members are not working they can enjoy an array of exhibitions and other events as the property houses a curated and partner programme that is focused on design in all its forms.
