Who are Makerversity?

Makerversity has coined the term ‘co-making’ which encapsulates their offering as a co-working space for makers.

Although it is more than just a space for makers, it is also an international community of pioneering creative people and maker businesses

Makerversity was founded in 2013 by four designer-makers, who were given the opportunity of taking 20,000 square feet of basement space at a commercial property in central London.

They had been frustrated about the lack of space available in the UK capital for makers so they set about refurbishing the space and in less than a year, it was the home of over 60 creative businesses.

From there, they have continued to grow to make affordable central London makerspace available for over 350 businesses

The company provides desks or studio workspace for businesses that include freelancers, entrepreneurs, creative startups, designers, inventors, technologists, craftsmen and engineers.

They provide access to digital and traditional machinery, tools, and making workshops

They nurture a community of the brightest creative and technical minds and they curate learning and support programmes.

They describe their physical offering as awesome spaces for professional makers that combine co-working space with clean and messy workshop space, machines and tools.

Makerversity is located on the Strand in the West End of central London.
