Facts about Office on the Hill

Why choose Office on the Hill serviced office space to let?

Founded in 2009, the company is a highly experienced serviced office space provider and has successfully carved out its own niche – choosing distinctive protected properties with character as the bases from which to provide modern enterprise-grade serviced offices.

As examples of the types of properties they choose, The Old Bank on the High Street in Watford was once a National Westminster Bank. The Portland stone-fronted property dates back to 1920 and features elements such as double-height windows with ionic columns and panelled double doors with metal traceried fanlights.

The property is a Grade 2 listed building and is set within the Civic Core Conservation area just across the road from Watford’s centre of government.

Another example is The Old Free School on George Street in Watford. The building dates back to 1704 and has features that predate that such as a circa 1600 fireplace. It also features large round-headed windows and gauged brick arches. The school was created by Mrs Fuller and there is an inscription to her in a broad frieze within the property. There are also ten-panel double doors, rooms with panelled dado, and original panelling with pilastered arcade motifs. This building is Grade II listed and sits in the St Mary’s Conservation area of Watford.
