About Orchard Street
Orchard Street is so-named because the site was once an apple orchard. It was tended by the local Monks of Bristol Cathedral until the late 18th Century when a street was built on the land for a series of Merchant’s Houses.
During the 20th Century, The Bristol Municipal Charities obtained the properties and most of the properties were converted from residences to offices.
In 1997, The Orchard Street Business Centre was established when a serviced office space company – the current owners – acquired two of the office properties.
Following the success of the business centre, it grew with the acquisition of further commercial properties on the street and surrounding streets, to what it has become – an elegant and characterful building offering 85 serviced offices in Bristol’s BS1 district.
