Serviced Office Description

This co-working space is located in Swansea city centre and is very popular with the growing number of entrepreneurs, startups and freelancers in the transforming South Wales city.

Swansea is a city of change and is undergoing massive regeneration. In 2019, work began on the ‘Swansea Central’ project; a £135m development that will help Swansea “reinvent itself”, as stated by Swansea city council.

A 3,500-seat arena will be built alongside hotels, shops and housing. The aim is to create jobs for 11,000 people and to bring more people back to city-centre living.

Part of the plan is to create a new inner-city park which will be the first built in the city since the Victorian era.

In 2019, the £12m redevelopment of a major city centre road, Kingsway, was completed and has been praised by business owners who hope it will improve the city centre’s economy due to more efficient access to businesses.

Another major development is the ‘Swansea Bay City Deal’ which is a £1.3bn investment secured by the Swansea Bay City Region for eleven major projects across South Wales.

A Swansea City and Waterfront Digital District will be built and will include a digital village on Kingsway, featuring incubation spaces and co-working spaces for start-ups and small businesses working in the ICT, tech and creative industry sectors.

This will also enable the development of a ‘Digital Square’ forming part of the Swansea Central regeneration plans, as well as the digitisation of the indoor arena.

A 'Box Village' development is also planned for the University of Wales Trinity Saint David's Swansea Waterfront campus, which will see the conversion of shipping containers to provide flexible, affordable office space for start-up companies. The aim is to bring students, academics and businesses together to share expertise and explore new areas for growth.

With these developments in the pipeline, it is of no surprise that there are some great co-working spaces in Swansea being launched.
