Who are Runway East?
Runway East was created in 2014 by three individuals with experience working in different coworking spaces. While they were happy with the concept of coworking spaces, they felt that they had never really had a chance to talk to or connect with the people working alongside them. As a result, they created Runway East: not just a space but a community where members can share the highs and lows of startup life and become friends.
In March April 2024, Runway East announced it would open its first space in the Midlands after acquiring 20,000 sqft at the Arca building on Temple Row, which is positioned 3 minutes from Birmingham New Street station and 2 minutes from Snow Hill station,
The space is suitable for teams requiring space for between 4 and 100 people, and bespoke customisation options are available. It also offers a large selection of meeting rooms, break-out spaces, and a huge panoramic roof terrace.
In early August 2024, it was announced that Runway East would open its next flex location following its second deal with Soho Estates. 58 Wardour Street space would span 7,000 square feet and provide premium managed offices for teams of between 20 and 100 people.
Later that month, it was announced that the provider would open its 12th UK location in London Bridge.
Runway East signed a 20-year management agreement with Peer Group for 12,000 square feet at 150 Borough High Street, the operator’s third flex office site in the SE1 locale.
