Shoreditch Trust is a registered charity that was established to support people in making positive life changes, access opportunities and build meaningful connections.
The organisation works to create a future free from inequality and supports individuals and businesses in Hackney to improve health and wellbeing, develop social networks, and build skills and opportunities for meaningful employment.
Established in 1999 as part of the New Deal for Communities (NDC) programme with delivery focussed initially in the south of the borough in Shoreditch and Hoxton and, today covers the broader borough of Hackney.

The brand icon of Shoreditch Trust is a pigeon – this was chosen as pigeons represent the other great London urban population. As stated by the charity, “Pigeons travel great distances, but always like to come home in the end. Pigeons live in communities and in neighbourhoods.”
