Development of the building commenced in 1870 and the area surrounding it became the main shopping and commercial district of Newcastle during the Georgian period.

On the corner of Dean Street and Mosley Street in Newcastle city centre, Bank Chambers is one of those buildings that appears to have always been there, one that the city was built around. And, thankfully, due to its listed building status, is here to stay.
The commercial property in which the premium business centre sits today was built in 1872 for the National Provincial Bank, the bank that became National Westminster just under a century later in 1970.
The stunning building has been created using a mix of sandstone, pink granite and slate and boasts period features such as bay sash windows, pedimented doorcases, and architraves, to name just a few.
