About The Custard Factory

The former Birds Custard Factory sits at the heart of Digbeth – Birmingham’s regenerated industrial heartland that is now the city’s creative quarter.

Digbeth is now considered a district within Birmingham City Centre following the decommissioning of the central Birmingham Inner Ring Road and is just a few minutes by foot from Birmingham New Street and Moor Street Stations, and less than 10 minutes from the Bullring and Grand Central.

The district of Digbeth borders Deritend and has been named the ‘Coolest Neighbourhood in Britain’ by the Sunday Times.

As part of this nomination, The Custard Factory’s independent shops, cafes, independent shops, cinemas and arts venues were lauded.

And the famous bar snacks from The Old Crown pub which is, incidentally, Birmingham’s oldest non-religious building, were also celebrated.

The Custard Factory also offers workspaces for rent and is home to an array of companies ranging from start-up businesses to larger organisations.

There is an on-site management team that is looking after the ongoing regeneration of the Digbeth estate meaning that tenants enjoy access to on-the-ground support.

The team also provides support to the communities of occupiers of other Digbeth properties that offer office space for rent and workspaces.

These include Fazeley Studios, Floodgate Factories and The Bond, to name just a few.
