About The Summit

The Summit is situated on the site of the 19^th Century public house, the Fox and Crown – an establishment with a great heritage. Queen Victoria suffered a carriage accident outside the inn in 1837 and the publican, Mr Turner, reacted swiftly and managed to grab the horses’ reins and rescue the Queen. It was here that she then rested to recover from the incident. Mr Turner subsequently received a suitable reward and was granted a royal coat of arms.

The Summit in its current incarnation was opened in 2007 after a complete renovation. It now offers luxury offices for rent in Highgate as well as consulting rooms with high-specification modern office facilities.

However, many of the original features were retained and restored to their former glory including the beautiful bay windows, woodwork, brick exterior and gateposts, and a plaque commemorating the property’s former life was installed.
