About Tobacco Dock
Tobacco Dock was built in 1812 and, in its heyday, spanned 70 acres of Tobacco Quay in Wapping. It was created as a hub for precious cargo arriving from the New World including tobacco and other commodities such as wine.
Today, it is not quite as large as when it was originally built, however, it is Grade I listed as a commercial property of exceptional interest to protect its original timbers, curved brick vaults and its many other special features.
It is one of the largest capacity venues in East London and, indeed, the whole of the UK’s capital city and offers a range of over 50 event spaces of varying sizes and formats over its 160,000 sqft of versatile and flexible space.
