WeWork opened its first space in Texas in February 2015 at 600 Congress Avenue in Downtown Austin, and by April, it was at full capacity with over 500 members.

WeWork opened its second location at University Park near UT Austin’s North Campus in April 2016. The 3300 N. Interstate 35 building was also home to one of Google’s Austin offices at the time. WeWork’s second building allowed the flex space provider to accept about 470 more members in the Austin area.

The shared office company opened its third coworking campus in Austin, on Domain Boulevard, later in 2016.

After a decade of providing flexible office space and workspace solutions in Austin, WeWork’s portfolio expanded to 5 buildings offering a range of solutions, including coworking desks for freelancers, private offices for 2, 3 or 4 people and full floor offices for large teams requiring space for 50+ desks and due to the flexibility of the contracts, members can scale into larger spaces as they grow.

Members enjoy hard-wired ethernet or secure Wi-Fi with complete IT support and access to business-class printers, office supplies and shredders.

The onsite support teams bring operational expertise and service-focused experience to ensure members’ offices run perfectly — the teams include cleaning crews and reception staff who handle mail and packages for members.

Each building offers a range of versatile meeting rooms that are tech-enabled, allowing teams to gather, meet, and participate in video conferences, or give a presentation, both virtually or in-person.

There is also a wide range of unique common areas and breakout spaces, including living-room-style spaces designed for creativity, comfort, and productivity.

There are also private areas for solo work, including phone booths for making private phone calls, participating in video calls, or taking a break without distraction.

Each Austin WeWork building also has a Community Team that hosts regular activities like networking, ‘lunch & learns’, and a range of social events.
