CBRE will be joint agents for the office space along with Keppie Massie.
A total of 17,693 square feet of office space in the scheme is being marketed by the owner of the building, Grosvenor.
The space is spread across two buildings, namely the five-storey Compton House and the six-storey Russell Building. The suites of offices on offer are from 2,200 square feet to 3,200 square feet. Both buildings were built in the 19th century as warehouses.
Mark Worthington, director of office agency at CBRE, said: “We are delighted that Grosvenor has appointed CB Richard Ellis to work with their existing agents, Keppie Massie, in leasing the remaining office accommodation at Liverpool One.
“Liverpool One is the most important development in the city for a generation, providing a high-quality mix of retail, leisure, residential and office environments.
“We are anticipating good interest in the space, particularly from the indigenous creative industries, which are an increasingly important economic driver for the city.”
Head of Asset Management at the Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, Mike Dunnett, added that he was pleased to welcome CBRE to the team responsible for letting the two “prestigious buildings”.
Previously known as the Paradise Project, Liverpool One is a shopping, residential and office complex in Liverpool’s city centre.
The overall cost of the construction of the project was GBP 500 million with a total of GBP 920 million being invested.
Meanwhile, CBRE has also been hired to help market 180,000 square feet of office space in the North East in Strathmore, Peterlee and Seaham.
Editor’s notes: As of June 2023, just two self-contained suites of 2,107 square feet remained available to rent at Compton House office building.
In March 2018, Grosevnor submitted plans to convert The Russell Building into a 50-bedroom luxury hotel with a rooftop bar and a gym.
In May 2023, The School Lane Hotel officially opened. Operated by Hope Street Hotel, the 55-bedroom hotel opened its doors just in time for the Eurovision song contest in the city.
