Vocus moves to new office space

[Published April 2011 and last updated May 2026] PR and marketing software provider Vocus has announced that it is to relocate its UK headquarter offices to a new and larger building that is more centrally located.

Vocus’ new UK headquarters are located in Longbow House, 20 Chiswell Street in the City of London.

The new office space accommodates 75 Vocus employees and has approximately twice the square footage of the company’s previous UK headquarters. Additionally, the new office is closer to clients and prospects, the company has stated.

Bill Wagner, COO at Vocus, said: “The UK has been one of the fastest growing markets for Vocus, with the international market making up 15 per cent of our business.

“Over the past year, we’ve also made expansions into France and China. As our business continues to be adopted in new areas, we are committed to providing the best possible support and continue to grow our international presence.”

Vocus provides cloud-based software to aid in a company’s PR and marketing efforts. It also helps organisations exert influence over social networks and online. Currently, the company’s software is used by more than 30,000 outfits around the globe.

Bloomberg has recently revealed that software giant Microsoft is to spend up to 90 per cent of its research budget this year on developing cloud computing. Microsoft has a research and development budget of USD 9.6 billion.

By using cloud computing, one can access applications over the internet through browsers, rather than having to buy and install a software package.

The actual concept of cloud computing dates back to the 1950s when John McCarthy said that “computation may someday be organised as a public utility”. In 2007, Google, IBM and a number of universities instituted a sizable cloud computing research project.

Currently, SAP and Oracle dominate the market.

Editor’s notes: Following a series of acquisitions by Vocus of companies such as Help a Reporter Out (HARO) and iContact, it was announced that Vocus would merge with PR company Cision under the trading name Cision.

As of June 2023, Cision was headquartered in Chicago and employed over 6,000 people. Cision’s London office address was listed as 5 Churchill Place in Canary Wharf on its Facebook page.

In May 2026, Cushman & Wakefield reported that a number of London occupiers were expanding their office space footprint, as Vocus did in 2011.

Occupier expansions hit a six-year high in 2025, as office leasing deals above 100,000 square feet rose from 8 in 2024 to 12 in 2025, with 11 of those involving occupiers expanding their footprint.

The report followed the study of 504 deals of over 5,000 square feet in 2025, totalling 9.6 million square feet.

Total net expansion was 3.82 million square feet in 2025, the highest level recorded since 2019.
