The new headquarters will have approximately 2,500 square feet of office space located along the River Mersey on what was once wharfage and warehouse space. Savills 20 employees will occupy the first floor of Building 8 of the development. Savills also has a branch in Manchester, which occupies office space on Fountain Street.
Liza Marco, property manager at Peel Land & Property, the owners of the site, told the Liverpool Daily Post: “We are delighted Savills has chosen to establish a permanent base for their Liverpool office in Princes Dock.
“Princes Dock is in an enviable location with excellent services on offer to occupiers. Building 8 offers remarkable unobstructed views of the River Mersey, on-site parking as well as easy access to the nearby amenities at the development.”

Princes Dock is located near the famous Liver Building and as well as three blocks of office space it features the GBP 28 million Malmaison Hotel and three apartment blocks. Soon to come is the GBP 130 million New World Square, which will have an eight-floor five-star hotel, 385 flats and shops and restaurants.
Coutts Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG have also recently established themselves in Princes Dock.
There has also been an extension of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal built, which will add 1.4 miles of waterway to the canal system.
The dock was constructed by John Foster and was named after the Prince Regent, later George IV. Construction began in 1810 and was finished in 1821. In 1981 ferry services from the dock ended when P&O Ferries cancelled their overnight service from Liverpool to Belfast.

The firm agreed to lease 2,330 square feet on the first floor of the building in 2011 and the terms of the deal are undisclosed.
