RGL, which has 17 offices in the US and others in London, Manchester, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney, has long worked with clients who have interests in South America and should soon be better placed to develop its presence across the region.
“Expanding in South America has been part of our long-range strategy to meet the needs of so many of our clients who have business interests in the region,” explained Angie MacPhee, RGL Forensics’ chief executive.
RGL’s Santiago office is scheduled to be completely up and running by the end of May 2013, with London-based company director Andrew Greenland set to lead initial developments from the site. Greenland speaks fluent Spanish and is planning to relocate to Chile to take on the challenge.
“The opening of this office truly underscores our commitment to our clients operating in South America – and throughout all of Latin America,” he said.
Greenland noted that RGL, which works extensively with insurance companies and corporate finance firms around the world, increased its involvement in Chile considerably in the wake of the earthquake that struck the country in 2010.
“That experience forged not only significant business relationships but strong friendships as well,” he explained.
South America is home to some of the world’s fastest-growing economies and office space markets like those in Sao Paulo, Brazil are currently seeing sharply rising rental prices per square foot on their Grade A office accommodation.
