Explore Offices for Rent in Germany
Bosses at Herbert Smith Freehills, an Anglo-Australian multi-national law firm, have cited the double office opening in Germany as a key milestone for the business and its global growth strategy. Plans are in place for the Frankfurt office to become a full-service facility, while staff and partners at the firm’s Berlin offices are to focus solely on corporate and regulatory operations.
Herbert Smith Freehills Germany will operate as a distinct business within the firm’s international network, which reaches into most regions of the world, including the Asia Pacific, North America, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. There are now 20 Herbert Smith Freehills offices worldwide.
“We are delighted to announce the opening of our offices in Germany; it is an important milestone for the firm and the latest step in our plans to develop our global presence,” said Jonathan Scott, a senior partner at the firm.
“Having worked closely with Herbert Smith Freehills for many years, it is incredibly exciting to join the firm, especially at this time of significant expansion,” added Ralf Thaeter, the first partner at Herbert Smith Freehills Germany. “The opportunity to spearhead the firm’s entry into Germany, create a go-to practice and attract both new and existing clients, is one that I look forward to taking.”
Back in March, the Swedish law firm Magnusson opened its first offices in Berlin to support its growth in central Europe and in the fields of corporate litigation, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, banking, and finance.
