Hedgehog Lab creates, develops, and markets apps and solutions for mobile phones, tablet computers, TVs, and digital kiosks. Its focus is on delivering solutions for companies of all sizes through touch-screen-operated digital apps.
The company’s managing director, Sarat Pediredla, said he is targeting 300 per cent revenue growth over the coming three years. Its new offices, which cover around 1,700 sq ft, should allow for a number of new staff members to be added in the coming months.
The building into which Hedgehog Lab will move and occupy the ground floor is called Generator Studios. It was created in 2009 as an extension to an existing office space hub, built with the development of creative north-east-based companies in mind.
“We are excited about our move into Generator Studios that caps a great year of growth for hedgehog lab,” said Pediredla. “It’s a great space for creative businesses and the additional room we have will allow us to keep up with our ambitious growth plans.”
BNP Paribas Real Estate acted as the joint letting agent for the newly signed commitment, and its local office agency director, Aiden Baker, reflected positively on seeing a Newcastle-based company committing to the city for the next decade. “Hedgehog Lab is well suited to Generator [Studios], as the building offers tenants an opportunity to work in state-of-the-art offices in a central location with excellent facilities, based alongside other like-minded businesses,” he said.
Editor’s notes: In February 2024, it was announced that it was moving into new offices at One Strawberry Lane in Newcastle city centre after a decade in Generator Studios.
