The company said in a statement that it intends to expand the workforce it has already established at the new office over the coming months, with locals invited to apply for new job opportunities. The new offices are within the purpose-built Trident Business Park, which is close to Manchester Airport on the city’s southern outskirts.
“Our new strategic base in Manchester underpins our desire to provide higher levels of support for our existing customers across all business sectors in the North of England,” said Andrew Pfiel, technical director for Stirling Dynamics. “It will also enable Stirling to tap into the wealth of engineering expertise and experience in this region, where we hope to quickly establish new business relationships that will generate expansion and employment.”
Without naming particular institutions, Stirling noted that its new offices would provide “access to three major engineering universities” and enable its staff to better serve its customers in the northwest of England.
Stirling has offices in Bristol, Farnborough in Hampshire, and now Manchester. It also has offices across the Atlantic in Florida. The company’s clients include some of the world’s leading players in the aerospace and marine engineering industries, and it has performed well financially despite some challenging economic headwinds recently.
Stirling developed the sticks and throttles used in the world’s most advanced fighter jet simulators based on its cutting-edge technical know-how. Earlier this year, British MP Stephen Williams visited the company’s Bristol offices and had a hands-on experience with the state-of-the-art flight controls before praising Stirling’s efforts in maintaining growth despite the tough economic climate.
