A consultancy business specialising in offering advice and expertise on medical devices of various sorts has opened a new operational headquarters in the Texan city of Austin, it has been announced.
The Emergo Group serves customers across North America and Europe and has secured a total of close to 13,000 sq ft of office space in downtown Austin in support of its expansion plans going forward. Plans are in place to see the group continue to hire new staff members to add to its 55-strong workforce as 2013 unfolds.
According to the group, its services are increasingly in demand as a result of the growing need among medical device makers to understand overseas regulatory procedures and the range of related issues. Emergo itself now has a total of 23 offices around the world, including in the Middle East, South America and Southeast Asia.
“We don’t see things slowing down. Healthcare spending continues to rise, especially in fast-growing markets like Brazil and China,” explained Emergo’s president and chief executive Rene van de Zande.
“Medical device companies in the US and Europe are looking for ways to boost the top line, and the rate of growth in those countries far exceeds what they can expect in their home markets,” he said.
The Emergo Group’s new headquarters and its Austin office space are located at 816 Congress Avenue in the downtown district of the Texan capital. In other US office space news, the Edinburgh-based flight finder and online comparison service SkyScanner recently announced that it plans to expand its Edinburgh office and also to open its first American office in Miami, Florida, later this year.
