British Land announces pair of London office deals

Aspect Capital, an investment management business, has signed up to occupy 24,520 sq ft of offices at 10 Portman Square in the West End, taking the top two floors of a seven-story development. Meanwhile, the international law firm Hill Dickinson has agreed to take 32,000 sq ft of office space at Broadgate Tower in the City.

The Portman Square site in the West End was substantially refurbished in recent years and now offers 113,000 sq ft of office space, 56 per cent of which is now accounted for. Hill Dickinson’s deal on offices at Broadgate Tower will see it occupy the sixth, seventh, and part of the eighth floor of the new 35-storey development.

“These lettings continue to show British Land’s ability to provide quality buildings that modern businesses want to occupy, and that is why our portfolio lets so well,” said Tim Roberts, British Land’s head of offices. “Broadgate’s ability to attract firms of the calibre of Hill Dickinson reinforces its position as the premier office estate in the City, offering an appealing mix of first-class office space and excellent on-site amenities and services.”

Broadgate Tower is currently the fourth tallest building in the City of London and is closing in on full occupancy, with 94.7 per cent of its offices now officially taken up. The City has traditionally been the centre of the UK’s financial services industries. Still, several recent research studies have shown that offices in the so-called Square Mile are now increasingly being rented by technology and media-related businesses of various sorts.

Editor’s notes: In August 2024, Aspect Capital’s London office was listed as 10 Portman Square on its website and Hill Dickenson’s City of London office was listed as The Broadgate Tower on its website

At the same time, Regus at The Broadgate Tower offered flexible office space and workspace solutions, such as private serviced offices, custom offices, and coworking spaces.
