A site at Purdue Research Park is to be Indy Audio Labs’ (IAL) new headquarters and will soon accommodate employees with diverse expertise, including engineering, sales, and administration.
Several hundred new members of staff will be based in the Indianapolis office, with ambitious targets already set for production and revenue growth in 2011.
The opening of a new headquarters by the self-proclaimed “in-home electronics specialist” was enabled in part by a new funding deal agreed upon in recent months and worth $600,000 to the company.
“Based on the demand we’re experiencing, we expect a large part of our revenue will come from exporting Indiana-manufactured, high-technology products to our overseas customers,” explained Indy Audio’s co-founder and chief executive, Rick Santiago.
“Our new headquarters will be equipped with multiple electronics labs, office space and administration space, as well as the shared infrastructure provided by the park,” he added.
Much of the overseas demand for US goods referred to by Mr Santiago is coming from China, where an increasing number of export-led American businesses are operating.
Earlier this week, the Florida-based environmental technology firm RGF revealed that it has opened an office in Beijing to meet demand for its products and services in Asia.
