The office opening forms part of a wider expansion plan for the company, which has been successful by specialising in delivering software solutions to investment and wealth management businesses of various kinds.
London is recognised as a global leader in banking, investment, and wealth management, and Profidata aims to take advantage of its office base so close to prominent players in the financial sector.
Indeed, London has been singled out as a particularly important potential market for its expanding operation, but the Swiss firm is keen to do business right across the UK and Ireland, as well as in much of Europe.
“By establishing a permanent presence in London we aim to show that we are dedicated to the market and are committed to meeting the diverse needs of this marketplace,” said Christian Widmer, chief executive of the Profitdata Group.
The group’s regional director for the UK and Ireland added: “There is a real need for a next-generation, integrated and flexible product to address the highly complex requirements in the middle and back offices of asset managers, custodians and fund administrators.”
Having been founded just over 25 years ago, Profidata now has offices in six countries across Europe, while its headquarters are still in the Swiss city of Zurich.

The company also lists addresses in Germany, Portugal, Luxembourg, Romania and Singapore.
As of June 2026, the firm, which was established in 1985, listed Bändliweg 30 in Zurich as its headquarters.
It also listed five other European offices on its corporate website: Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Romania, Portugal and London.
Its London office was at The White Chapel Building, London E1 8QS, which is on the Eastern Fringe of the City of London.
The building was purchased by Derwent in December 2015, which undertook a refurbishment program on the 184,000 square feet of office space, which was completed in Q4 2016.
The building was fully let in under seven months, and other tenants include Asthma and Lung UK, BE Offices, Breast Cancer Now, Comic Relief, Emperor Design, GDS, Pay UK, PLP Architecture, Reddie & Grose, Shipowners’ Club and UK Forex.
