Up to a thousand of the company’s staff look set to be employed at the two sites, which will be in the districts of Crystal City and Germantown, respectively and could well be under construction before the end of this year.

Much of the American defence industry and government suppliers are focused on activities in and around the US capital city, and Boeing’s commitments are being viewed as significant for the wider office market in Washington, DC.
The company’s plans for Germantown involve a short move of employees from its subsidiary, Digital Receiver Technology, to Milestone Business Park, the Washington Post reports.
Meanwhile, at Crystal City, plans are in place for a pair of new office developments near the Potomac River, where up to 500 Boeing staff are expected to be operating within the next few years.
The latter site is close to the Metrorail, and a spokesman for Boeing told the local newspaper that the plans for the Crystal City site “just make good sense” for its business.
At the beginning of this year, a report from NAI Global suggested that the market for office space in Washington DC was stronger than that of any other major city in America, with much of the demand for offices in 2010 coming from various branches of the federal government.
Editor’s notes: In May 2022, Boeing announced that it would move its Global headquarters from Chicago to the 4.7-acre Crystal City campus, where it already employed 400 people.
The Crystal City campus is actually located in Arlington, Virginia, which is just outside Washington, D.C., and is close to its defence rivals General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman, as well as The Pentagon.
In May 2023, Milestone Business Park in Germantown was no longer listed as a Boeing office address. The popular park offers a wide range of best-in-class leased office options as well as flexible workspace and office space solutions from international office space provider Regus, which offers private offices, managed offices, coworking desks and meeting rooms on low-commitment and all-inclusive contracts.
As of June 2026, Boeing’s global headquarters were listed as 929 Long Bridge Drive, Arlington, VA 22202.
At the same time, Regus still provided a wide range of flexible office space and workpsace solutions at 12410 Milestone Centre Drive in Milestone Business Park.
